At St James’ our intention is for the children to have aspirations, believe in themselves and realise anything is a possibility; we want our children to ‘Believe and Achieve.’ PSHE supports the development of a healthy growth mind-set and understanding of positive mental wellbeing.  We want the children at St James’ to be confident in sharing their own thoughts and opinions with others and know their thoughts and opinions are valid and respected.  PSHE helps them to show tolerance and respect for diversity and an understanding of the importance of equity and justice. In addition to this, it promotes the children developing positive, respectful relationships with other people and to develop skills and attributes to keep themselves healthy and safe. We aim for all our children to develop an attitude of care for their local community but also their global community. Through PSHE and our School Values of Love, Hope and Truth, we aim to transform our own lives and the lives of everybody within the school - and beyond!
